Warcraft Forever

WoW: Forever talent calculator & class changes

Class trees are in the calculator (BlizzCon 2026 demo capture). Racials below were transcribed from the beta stream and may change before release.

Talent calculator

Talent system

  • Talent trees keep the 51-point, three-tree layout. The Paladin window shown had Holy, Protection and Retribution trees.
  • The talent panel has Primary and Secondary tabs at the top — not explained yet; likely tied to the Legacy system or dual specs.
  • Design goal: replace 1% filler talents with fewer, more meaningful choices and real trade-offs. The same philosophy applies to racials and item bonuses.
  • Weapon-skill racials are gone; weapon specializations now grant crit chance instead.
  • Deep Dive panel (Sept 13): a fourth one-point talent at 16 points in every tree, next to the 11/21/31 ones.
  • Buff-only talents such as Improved Battle Shout, Divine Spirit, Blessing of Kings and Improved Mark of the Wild are now baseline.
  • Melee, ranged and spell hit/crit are merged into single stats; Expertise is added; bonus healing also increases damage.

    Undead

    Known changes

    • New seal designed for tanking (Protection); Holy gains group-healing talents; Retribution gets a fuller playstyle.
    • Holy Strike is a baseline attack at level 6; Judgement no longer consumes seals.
    • New Seal of Fury for tanking: damage independent of weapon speed, a small absorb, and judging it taunts (10-yard range).
    • Consecration deals heavier damage to the first four targets and light damage to the rest.
    • Holy: shorter Holy Strike cooldown, silence/interrupt immunity, mana regen while casting (Spirit), Infusion of Light, earlier Holy Shock with a shorter cooldown, Consecrated Ground, Light's Vigil (spread healing).
    • Protection: Improved Seal of Fury, Shield Specialization, Swift Judgement (reset on miss), Templar's Bulwark (absorb with Forbearance), improved Reckoning, Iron Creed (Holy Strike reduces damage taken).
    • Retribution: Vindication works like Demoralizing Shout, Sacred Arbiter (judgements refresh), Champion of the Light (Intellect scaling), Instrument of Law (instant Hammer of Wrath), Twist of Light (seal echo).
    • Holy Shock reachable at 21 points (level 30) with a 10 sec cooldown; Light's Vigil is pre-emptive group healing that resets Holy Shock.
    • Templar's Bulwark absorbs 100% of max health but applies Forbearance; Swift Judgement lets a tank taunt twice; Twist of Light enables seal twisting.
    • Still no interrupt or slow in the toolkit; limited AoE healing, best single-target healer (Deep Dive panel).
