Legacy

Legacy is account-wide progression aimed at people who love leveling and alts. Legacy Challenges are grouped into Classes, Tradeskills, Player vs. Player, Adventure, Dungeons and Raids. Completing them earns Legacy Points and unlocks perks that carry over to your other characters — cosmetics and minor utility, not raw power.
Examples from the demo's progress track: a Replica Ironforge Air Rifle, a Spectral Bear Cub, a Spectral Bear Tabard and Reins of the Spectral Bear, unlocked at 15 / 25 / 40 / 55 points. The demo character sat at 30 points on a bar reading 30 / 130.

From the Deep Dive panel (Sept 13)
Points are spent in three trees — Adventurer, Professions and Resourcefulness — on perks such as more rested XP, more materials from gathering, or removing the reagent cost of group buffs. Points are earned account-wide but spent per character, the number you can spend is capped at first, and your total unlocks pets, mounts, transmog and toys. More trees are planned.
Perks and challenges seen on the slides

- Well Rested (Adventure, 5 ranks): rested experience accumulates 4% faster and the rested cap is 4% higher per rank.
- Bountiful Harvest (Professions, 5 ranks): 20% more Scarce materials from Mining, Herbalism and Skinning per rank.
- Reagent Economy (Resourcefulness, 1 rank): your class abilities no longer need vendor reagents, and Tier 1 camping features cost nothing to craft.
- Challenges are simple milestones: Novice / Experienced / Master Mage for reaching 25 / 45 / 60 on a Mage for the first time, Journeyman / Expert / Artisan Engineer for 150 / 225 / 300 skill, and the same pattern across Classes, Tradeskills, PvP, Adventure, Dungeons and Raids.
At launch the points you can spend are capped at 60, so nobody feels forced to chase every challenge. Each class gives 3 points (25 / 45 / 60) and each primary profession 3 (150 / 225 / 300). Normal, PvP and Roleplay share one pool; Hardcore points can only be spent by Hardcore characters.
Campsites

Craft a campfire in the open world and other adventurers can stop by. At a camp, players contribute through their professions, share campsite buffs, and prepare for long journeys together. Blizzard describes it as a social crafting system: the point is to bump into people out in the world rather than in a city.
Both systems get further updates in the summer 2027 patch (see the roadmap).
Campfire details (Deep Dive panel)
A basic campfire holds up to three objects, one per player: a blacksmith's sharpening wheel raises Strength, a tailor's banner adds its own buff, and so on. The first objects are learned at 20 skill, more come with higher skill. Cooking and fishing were updated to fit: almost every crafted food now gives a stat boost, and there are over 600 new recipes across all professions.
Campfire objects on the slides

- Sharpening Wheel — Blacksmithing 20: +34 Strength for you and everyone sitting nearby (exclusive with Strength of Earth Totem). Taught by the Camping 101: Blacksmithing quest.
- Anvil — Blacksmithing 140: everything the wheel does; can be placed over a wheel to replace it.
- Master Forge — Blacksmithing 300: usable for recipes that require it, plus all the wheel's benefits.
- Every object needs a campfire nearby, and all camping features share a 1-hour cooldown. The campfire itself is a Cooking skill.
