How professions work in Forever
- Two primary professions per character and three secondary skills (Cooking, First Aid, Fishing), with a 300 skill cap — the Legacy perk text itself spells this out.
- Camping is a new outdoor tradeskill system: you build a campfire, other players contribute through their own professions, and everyone at the site shares the buffs.
- Levelling tradeskills is one of the Legacy challenge categories, so every profession you max on any character earns account-wide perks.
- Turning in supply crates to the Azeroth Commerce Authority (Alliance) or Durotar Supply and Logistics (Horde) rewards Merchant's Favor — a new profession currency seen in the demo.
- The profession window was rebuilt in the modern style, without the clutter of twelve expansions.
- Over 600 new recipes across all professions (Deep Dive panel); almost every crafted food now gives a stat boost.
- A basic campfire holds three objects, one per player (a blacksmith's sharpening wheel raises Strength, a tailor's banner adds a buff…); the first ones are learned at 20 skill.

Camping
Blizzard's headline profession feature. Craft a campfire out in the world, and passing adventurers can stop by, use their trade skills to add something to the site, and share the resulting buffs with everyone there.
- Blacksmiths place a Sharpening Wheel (skill 20, +34 Strength to everyone seated nearby, exclusive with Strength of Earth Totem), then an Anvil (140) or Master Forge (300) that replaces it; each object needs a campfire and all camping features share a 1-hour cooldown.
- Each profession contributes a different buff to the camp.
- Campsites are built from tiers of features; Tier 1 features cost no reagents with the Reagent Economy perk.
- A First Aid Kit (Linen Bandage + Refreshing Spring Water) adds a Fortitude-style buff to the camp.
- Resting at camp grants benefits that Legacy perks can extend by 50%.
- Whether Camping takes a profession slot is not confirmed.

Questions
Are there leveling guides yet?
Not yet. Recipes, trainers and material lists need beta data (from September 17). This page tracks what was shown at BlizzCon and will grow into full guides.
Do I need Camping to play with friends?
No. Anyone can use a campsite; you only need a profession to contribute something to it. Blizzard has not said whether Camping occupies a profession slot.
Is the 300 skill cap confirmed?
The Dedicated Study perk refers to reaching 300 in your two primary and three secondary tradeskills, so yes for launch — until Blizzard says otherwise.
